1 The constraints: 1) No more than
one hour. 2) No more than 20 lines.
The result ? Genius or Not.

22 December 2010

Slush piles of petrol and snow water freeze
overnight. Pavements and roads are smoothed-out
caps of ice. We slide downhill

for injury and fun. Backlogs of departures
packed out in haphazard queues into the clear morning sky
glint like new coins. Talk is all about

the time it took some to get home
last night, how comically cars bump or slide
off-course and where we might get holed up for

The Holidays. When the ice finally melts
will we return refreshed to our budgetary concerns,
gang feuds and righteous fury?
